Strictly ONE-TO-ONE Tuition. No shortcuts!

Each instructor at Stockport HGV is a qualified expert, fully experienced at arranging properly structured courses of lessons, designed to fit the requirements of the individual and company alike.
After an initial assessment lesson lasting two hours, allowing plenty of time to get used to the vehicle and to banish any initial nerves, our instructors will recommend a personally tailored course that will depend on each individual's own experience and driving ability.
Our tuition is carried out exclusively on a one-to-one basis with a heavy emphasis on "on the road" training, (unlike any schools that adopt two or sometimes three in a cab training, in addition to a large amount of classroom work). What's more, we endeavour to ensure that each pupil will have his own personal instructor throughout the length of his course.

As well as providing the highest quality of instruction, our modern fleet of vehicles are meticulously maintained to ensure that our pupils benefit from the most reliable service available. However, if required, we also offer training in the driver's own vehicle.
Because Stockport HGV offers such quick and efficient training backed up by our high pass rate, our courses are becoming increasingly popular with those companies that recognise the benefits of their drivers returning properly trained in the shortest time possible.
Before commencing any form of LGV tuition, it is essential that the DSA Theory Test be taken and passed. Other than in the case of those drivers already holding a category C (Class 2/3) Licence and are upgrading to a category C+E (Class 1), who are exempt from this requirement.

As a general guide, training for LGV Category C (Class 2/3) will take 16-20 hours, including the test, making it a 2 to 2½ day course. Likewise, category C+E (Class 1) takes between 16-20 hours, including the test.
These intensively structured courses with an early test, are designed with the utmost flexibility to fit in with your requirements, so that your company is caused the minimum of disruption.
Within 2 or 2½ days, your drivers will be back at work, equipped with a licence even before you realize they have been away.
|
|
|
Training is carried out 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday), to minimise the time the driver is away from work during the week.
We also provide a full accommodation service for those pupils who live substantial distances away from our training centre.
Whatever your requirements, we will be happy to discuss proposed tuition with you personally.
